ReadLight for NetNewsWire · Thursday, March 22, 2007

I have long been a fan of Brent Simmons’ amazing NetNewsWire news aggregator. For a while now I have been itching to create a custom stylesheet for NetNewsWire, and I finally found the time to do it. So, I am proud to introduce ReadLight – a NetNewsWire style that attempts to feel like reading from a gorgeous hardcover book. Here is a screenshot of ReadLight in action:

This stylesheet is heavily adapted from the FeedLight Aqua NetNewsWire style, and is inspired by the excellent Hardcover and Citizen Kubrick styles. ReadLight is intended to be used in widescreen mode, and uses the Hoefler Text font.

Please download ReadLight and let me know what you think!

  1. Very nice, thanks! This is the first style that I’ve ever been liked enough to install. :-)

  3. Good to see people being inspired by Hardcover (which is currently undergoing what could qualify as ‘beta’ for its second release), and especially to hear about those people using widescreen mode. I do approve.

  4. Me like. I might change the font, but overall it makes everything I read feel more professional.
